💸Global Fund raised $11.34bn with a surprising US pledge. The fund for Malaria, TB and HIV’s replenishment event in Johannesburg last Friday reached nearly two thirds of its $18bn target, with the US providing over a third of it.

Donald Trump agreed to attend the World Economic Forum’s gathering in January after certain topics, like female empowerment and diversity, the green transition, climate change and international development finance, were toned down. 🇮🇷Iranians in Geneva denounce a record number of prisoner executions. As the UN General Assembly last week recognised the 1988 massacre of thousands of dissidents by the Iranian regime, Iranians gathering at an event to mark the anniversary called for international attention on the current wave of executions – totalling more than 1,600 this year so far.
