💰UN says Sudan resources fuel civil war.
Human rights chief Volker Türk called on warring parties and businesses involved in selling the resources, including gum arabic – a key ingredient in soft drinks, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics – to respect international law and called for trade to benefit the Sudanese people.
