🕹️States reach agreement at autonomous weapons talks in Geneva.
The 128 states party to the UN’s Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons agreed on a document on Saturday, after negotiations stretched late into the night amid opposition from Russia, the United States and others. Though not legally binding, the text is a major step towards creating international rules, after more than a decade of talks on so-called “killer robots".
