🇨🇭 Why Switzerland is abandoning the Geneva Initiative. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) announced on Tuesday that it would abandon its financial commitment to the Geneva Initiative. This Initiative, launched with drums and trumpets in 2003 and which aimed to settle the Israeli-Palestinian question, was Switzerland's most important diplomatic achievement in the Middle East. But the political context has changed.
