Over 3,000 Yemeni households have been displaced since the beginning of the year amid continued fighting between Houthis and Saudi-backed government forces, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Monday. After more than seven years of war, there has been no let-up in the brutal conflict, with Saudi-led coalition yesterday carrying out two attacks on a telecommunications compound in the Houthi-held capital Sanaa, in retaliation to a drone attack last week on a Saudi airport. The coalition was reported to have issued a warning ahead of the first strike calling on civilians to evacuate the area. UN agencies estimate that over 4.2 million Yemenis have been forced to flee their homes and displaced internally since the start of the conflict.
