Hi, this is Paula. In a ninth round of talks, DRC officials agree with M23 rebels in Montreux to set up a mechanism to enable peace between the two. Fighting in the eastern part of the country has killed thousands of people and displaced hundreds of thousands.

Meanwhile in Geneva, a new human rights actor is seeking to lend the UN’s stretched human rights bodies a hand. And a million more people will receive a new HIV “miracle drug” thanks to a partnership between the Global Fund and the United States.
