An Afghan teacher and a Tajik lawyer are this year’s winners of the Martin Ennals award. The jury, made up of NGOs including Amnesty International, said Zholia Parsi and Manuchehr Kholiqnazarov “had shown exceptional courage and determination to bring human rights to the forefront in their respective countries”.
